We want to set a date for a meet every month to allow us some time together while not out of state at some huge event. This meet will consist of crafts, planning, music, piratical news/books/stories, etc. Once a day of week is settled, we will hammer out wich of that day in the month is the best bet for the majority.

This meetup group as well as the ship based here needs to find a way to fund it?s operating costs (meetup site fee) as well as the costs of equipment and services employed (tables, pavilions, flyers, printing fees, storage rental for event supplies, transportation charter, etc.). Funds could also be used to support recognition awards and prizes for things like scavenger hunts and door prizes, just to name a few. FYI ~ this is just for gathering the opinion of the group. Nothing will change with the outcome of this poll untill the top options have been discussed with all members.

Pirates of the Caribbean is opening at Regal Lakewood Cinema 15 on Thursday, May 24th. Which showing would everyone like to attend?

Rumors have been floating around regarding an upcoming pirate contra dance (the ancestor of the square dance). These are put on by a group in Tacoma. The last time we went there was a $7 entry fee. These are always held on Saturday evenings and stretch into the night.

Ok, before the Captain and I put any more effort into this (we'd only been tossing the idea around, and have now hit the part where we actually go out and acquire the prizes), who is actually interested in a scavenger hunt? More details over in the message board! :)
